What is the difference between Specialist and Undergraduate?

thumbnail

The educational background is different. If you stay in the army, you will have more chances to be promoted to undergraduate. If it is a 2-year conscript turned regular, then there is no difference. College student enlistment means that college students with a college degree or above enlist in the army.

Preferential policies for college students to join the army (partial excerpts):

  1. Arrange your studies properly

  2. Appropriately reduce or exempt tuition fees.

  1. Return to school after retirement.

  2. Special care and placement during service and related wage subsidies.

The biggest difference between specialist soldiers and undergraduate soldiers should be the difference in enlistment subsidies.

College students enlisting in the army will receive a one-time bonus: 50,000 yuan for undergraduate graduates, 40,000 yuan for college graduates, 30,000 yuan for undergraduate freshmen and current students, and 20,000 yuan for college freshmen and current students. Ordinary full-time college students who serve for two years can receive appropriate financial subsidies: about 240,000 yuan for undergraduate graduates, about 220,000 yuan for college graduates, about 220,000 yuan for undergraduate students and freshmen, and about 200,000 yuan for college students and freshmen.

These financial subsidies include allowances during service, family preferential treatment for conscripts, one-time incentives for college students to serve in service, one-time financial subsidies for self-employment, retirement benefits, tuition compensation waivers, and student loan compensation.

Finally, the promotion space is different. College students who have obtained a full-time undergraduate degree and a bachelor's degree from colleges and universities enlist in the army and can be directly promoted to become officers after serving in the army for two years.

According to the latest policy this year

Soldiers with a higher vocational (college) education can enter an adult undergraduate course without examination after retiring, or enter a general undergraduate course after certain examinations. Vocational (junior college) students (including college freshmen) who have won the third-class merit award, after completing the higher vocational (junior college) studies, can be admitted to the general undergraduate course without examination.

Beijing's preferential policies are even more enviable. In addition to the normal preferential treatment and economic subsidies for self-employment, which are higher than other regions, every year civil servants and public institutions, state-owned enterprises, and non-public economic organizations recruit (employ) retired college students and soldiers. The number of posts (posts) shall not be less than 50% of the number of retired college students and soldiers that year. Retired college students and soldiers with a non-Beijing undergraduate degree or above, who have completed their studies after returning to school and have been accepted by the city's employers, can go through the formalities for entering Beijing to settle down. The military service period of retired college students and soldiers is regarded as grass-roots work experience, and the length of service is calculated.

Therefore, many vocational students regard enlistment as a springboard for promotion to undergraduates. Therefore, partners who want to enlist in the army, please understand the various policies as soon as possible.
