A thing that is driven out overnight is not called a plan

There is a sentence in the recent hit TV series "Zhengyou" that I think is quite profound. Something that is driven out overnight is not a plan. This is really universal in our workplace.

A thing that is driven out overnight is not called a plan

We always blindly work overtime in order to keep working, and we focus on the working hours, work efficiency, time squeeze, crazy time to occupy the gaps, and then we put the best proof of excellence on the performance. The least time, the most work, can show how hard and efficient our work is.

On second thought, this thing sometimes goes against the meaning of our real work. our job is to do

A truly meaningful thing, if the completion of the work is relatively high, firstly, it can bring economic profits to the enterprise; secondly, it can bring social benefits to the society; thirdly, it can bring humanistic value to people.

A mature plan must spend enough time, repeated deliberation and brewing, so that all the details can be perfected to the fullest, rather than an overnight, ten hours can be used in the shortest time to build this framework. Get up, and then let everyone simply fill it in at will, and you can use it for practical operations. If there is no plan that has been repeatedly demonstrated and implemented directly, the danger and risk of feasibility have yet to be verified.

So it makes sense to say, "A program that is done overnight is not a program".

A thing that is driven out overnight is not called a plan

In the workplace, we usually have such a problem, that is, we are too aggressive, too pursuit of results, and try our best to push ourselves to the point where it is impossible to complete. Said to do one within three days, and then the next-level leader said to make a plan for me overnight tonight! In the hands of the most practical operators, it may be a random copy all night long. In the end, the feasibility of this plan is self-evident.

I think living in society, in this workplace life, if we want to truly do a career and complete a job, we still have to be patient, and don’t be deviated from our rhythm by this impetuous society. Do a good job in every detail seriously and carefully, neither deliberately delay the rhythm, nor pursue blind utilitarianism.

Only by calming down and being down-to-earth can our work be perfect and our workplace life will become more and more meaningful!
