I, through 1 report, two levels in a row, master these 4 underlying laws, you can also stand out

In the previous company, because of the unwritten rules of seniority ranking in my department, I worked hard for three years, but I was unable to get a promotion opportunity, and I felt that I could not see any hope in the next two or three years.

Watching other senior colleagues being promoted to management positions one by one, I didn't want to continue wasting my time like this.

I could have won the opportunity by virtue of my excellence in all aspects.

I decided to jump ship.

Joined in March, led a team of 10 people, responsible for the formation of the team and the expansion of regional market business.

In September, I turned a positive report, and I was promoted two levels in a row with one report, and my salary directly doubled.

After reviewing and summarizing carefully, I feel that it is my adequate preparation for the report, as well as the timely communication with the leaders, that makes me stand out among the reports of the new management.

Today, I will share with you some of my experience about the report, the underlying logic of the report, how to grasp the key points, and the understanding of the audience. Read it patiently, and it will definitely inspire and help you.

Showing our work results in the workplace, work report is undoubtedly the best way.

Why is the work report so important?

The importance of reporting

Why do I do so much leadership but I can't see it?

I work very hard, why have I become an employee that is a headache for leaders?

My performance is similar to his, why is he promoted instead of me?

I'm sure all of you have heard of or experienced the above.

One of the most important reasons for this situation is that we are not good at reporting work to leaders.

(1) Is it because of these three reasons that you don’t like reporting on work?

The reasons for employees who do not like to report to work can be roughly divided into three points:

  1. I know that the effect of the completion of the work is not good, and I am afraid that the leader will know his performance, as long as he does not say it, he can get away with it;

  2. I think this is just a form, I feel that it is unnecessary, and it is a waste of time and energy;

  3. Really not good at reporting work or afraid to communicate with leaders, even if the work is not bad.

(2) It is necessary to bury your head in pulling the car and learn to look up at the road

Timely feedback is an important way to strengthen communication with the leader. Although you work hard, if you don’t report your work situation to the leader in time, he will most likely not know what you are doing, or even think you are being lazy.

If you regularly feedback the work situation to the leader, then the leader can know the progress of the work through your feedback, so as to grasp the focus and problems of the work, and make corresponding adjustments in time.

If you don’t give timely and proactive feedback on the progress of your work, you will actually be hurting yourself.

Therefore, in the workplace, we must not only bury our heads in pulling the car, but also learn to look up at the road. Not only to be able to do, but also to be able to "speak".

This "speaking" refers to more effective reporting of work.

(3) Demonstrate self-worth and obtain development opportunities

If you don’t pay attention to the work report, you will lose the opportunity to let yourself be “seen and discovered”, and you may also lose a series of opportunities that follow.

Maybe you work as hard as other employees who get a promotion and a salary increase, or even more than them, but because you don't know how to report to your leadership in a timely manner, you may silently become an invisible person in the workplace.

It is not enough to think that you are very capable and talented. You need to continuously improve your "workplace visibility". Efficient work reporting is undoubtedly one of the most effective ways to improve your visibility.
