Two types of leadership exist objectively in the workplace. In actual work, both types of leadership have their place. For example, in positions such as sales managers, because sales work itself is a position that requires strict execution, only strict completion of various tasks. It is possible to achieve sales goals only by KPIs, so it is more appropriate to use supervisory leaders for positions such as sales managers; while marketing jobs require more imagination and creativity, not some KPIs Numbers can do the job well, so as their leaders, they need a softer management style, and can use encouraging words and methods like a mentor to stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of the team, so as to promote better work. of completion.

In terms of the role positioning of the two leadership types in the company, because the work at the middle and low levels of business is more focused on execution, supervisory leadership is more common, while the middle and senior leadership is more focused on strategic development and communication. Therefore, mentoring style leadership is more appropriate.

Of course, generally speaking, compared with supervisor-type leaders, people are more willing to get along with mentor-type leaders, and hope that they can be a mentor-type leader, but mentor-type leadership is actually not easy to do. Soft, but what needs to be explained is that as a mentor-type leader, you need to have a good personality and the ability to influence others subtly. Only in this way can you be charismatic and not use strict work standards. Has enormous influence over employees, thereby guiding their actions.

Finally, everyone has their own personality, and the corresponding leadership styles are naturally different, so there is no need to worry about what kind of person can be a leader, just need to understand that as long as you have the ability and ideas, then everyone can be a leader , and be a good leader!
