4 great tricks to deal with "procrastination": reasonable self-management, say goodbye to lazy self

We often say, what is the most important thing to lead a team?

Yes, it is execution.

If a team does not have the ability to execute, it will be difficult to achieve great things. The translation of executive power can also be called self-discipline.

Throughout the ages, every successful person has a very strong self-discipline. They know what to do and what not to do, clearly.

Knowing how to control one's own desires, not staying in bed when it's time to get up early, not fishing when it's time to work, and not staying up late when it's time to go to bed, this is self-discipline and an expression of strong execution.

When you are self-disciplined enough and have strong executive power, it means that your "procrastination" will no longer exist.

But the truth is, the vast majority of people in life cannot overcome procrastination.

Today, I will share with you 4 great tricks to deal with "procrastination": help you improve execution, manage yourself reasonably, and say goodbye to your lazy self.

Tip 1: Start with the simple things

We all know that the beginning of everything is difficult, so when we are faced with many tasks, we should start from the easiest. Complete one thing is one thing, and avoid the accumulation of things at hand.

However, such small things have the least resistance to do. As long as the heart is moved, it is easy to continue to do it, so as to complete the tasks one by one.

Put yourself into a working state, and you will find that everything will become easier. At this time, even if you want to get out of you, it is very difficult.

Because people always have inertia. At this moment, you are enjoying the state and beauty of your work. You seem to be busy, but you are actually very satisfied. When every task is completed, there will be no small sense of accomplishment.

Anything, once it goes smoothly, will be much simpler and easier to do next.

The second trick: target split

Why do so many people shout to lose weight every day, but few people succeed? Because their goals are too big.

If you want to lose 10 pounds, then you should split the goal into weekly, set a weekly diet plan, and lose one pound a week, which will be much less difficult.

In fact, work is the same. When there is a big strategic goal in front of us that is difficult to accomplish, we should learn to split it up.

For example, the team's goal is to achieve sales of 1 million a month. At first glance, it is easy to dampen everyone's self-confidence and enthusiasm.

But if you split 1 million into 100,000 per team and spread it over everyone's head, it will appear very little.

Every employee has their own goals, and they will naturally be more motivated and confident.

Tip #3: Avoid Perfectionism

First of all, we must understand that everyone is imperfect, and we must learn to accept our own imperfections.

The same is true when we work. Do what you think is feasible. Don’t get entangled in some small details every day, otherwise you will never start, and even if you start, it will never end.

Because when we look at our selves yesterday, we can always pick out some questions.

Therefore, you must remember to do anything, first complete, then perfect.

Step 4: Do it now

I don’t know if you have heard of the classic 5-second rule. When you want to do something, count down 5 seconds first, and do it immediately when you count to 1.

When you want to stay in bed, count down to 5 and get up immediately.

And this little sense of ritual can improve your execution.

When you really don't want to work, you can also try to adopt this 5-second rule. I believe that your management of yourself will become more and more in place.

The above are some of my advices to people in the workplace. If you manage yourself reasonably and improve your execution, you will become better and say goodbye to your lazy self.
