Introduction: Don't simply take me "knowing" as I know at work, or you will suffer a big loss!

We will face all kinds of challenges in our work, some of which we have done, and we will naturally grasp them, and there are traces to follow when we complete the task. When we see other people do it, we often have an illusion. I have seen it, I know it, and it seems very simple. I will definitely do this, and then I will do it myself, but in the end I can't complete the task. even cause losses to the company. Then why do you think that I know what I know, and I will suffer at work?

Seeing is not the same as knowing

The previous boss of the company, we were the only two people in an office, doing business is also project sales. He has stronger business communication skills, and my skills are relatively good. Basically, we meet major customers together. He sees that every customer can basically chat with the customer for about half an hour, even if we have no chance to cooperate with the customer, and his topics are nothing more than products, stocks, and personal experience, which can make the customer listen very attentively every time. I really want to learn his skills, but I have followed him for more than a year and watched it countless times. I can even memorize some of what he said, but when I see clients independently, I can't use it at all. After the chat, as soon as the project situation is understood, it is impossible to chat with the customer. Obviously I seem to understand it, I know what's going on, but I can't do it?

Knowledge without practice is false knowledge

This is the same as learning how to drive. One foot controls the brake and accelerator in automatic gear, and two hands control the steering wheel. When necessary, you can switch gears. This is the basic driving skill. There are a lot of online articles and video teaching materials. can understand all operations. But why do you need to apply to a driving school to get a driver's license?

The answer is that orders of magnitude practice are the only way we can acquire skills, and knowledge without practice is pseudo-knowledge. Many times we only see superficial things, and what others show is only the way they deal with their own situations based on their experience. Without their accumulation of experience, we only see it, but don’t understand it. Any slight change may lead to a completely different result, and the surface we only see cannot cope with the change, so we cannot do things with the same effect.

Conclusion: If we simply take what we see as if we already understand, then in the workplace it is very likely that this will lead to major mistakes in our work, causing irreparable losses to the company and ourselves, and regretting it at that time. It's too late. What knowledge we have learned, we must apply the knowledge to practical work, and use the learned knowledge to solve problems for us. Only then can we truly gradually master the knowledge we have learned, and this knowledge can truly become our skills and experience, and can be truly used by us.
