Attention is more precious than time

Time is precious, no doubt about that. But if the time is not used well, the long time is not so important to whether or not to do a good thing.

Let's look at a few examples.

Writing a dissertation for college graduation, I believe everyone has had such an experience. How many completed the week before the thesis defense began? How many people completed it according to the stipulated time, and then used the remaining time to make modifications and adjustments?

I believe that many people complete it according to the deadline, and there is no so-called revision many times at all. I even saw a friend who did it all night before handing in the thesis. To be honest, I don’t think a dissertation written overnight is necessarily worse than a dissertation written over a week.

It takes a week to write a dissertation, how much time is really working on the dissertation, in fact, everyone should know in their hearts, go to the library to look up an article in the morning. Then I flipped through it casually, and there were thousands of eight hundred words written on the paper. In the afternoon, I started to play Huan'er, and I went to black with my roommates. Because today's task is complete. This should be the portrayal of many college students writing theses.

Let’s look at work again. When a leader assigns a job, many people immediately “evaluate” time, and the so-called evaluation is just a forehead slap to estimate the time. Although it is said that it is three days, the working time that may be really effective is only half a day. "Of course, this is up to you. After all, you must reserve enough time for yourself to evaluate the time." But here I am talking about effective working time.

What I want to say is that the so-called working hours are, in fact, the vast majority of them are not effective working hours. In fact, many of the so-called overtime are invalid overtime, because overtime does not bring effective workload.

I have been working like this for a while, and I believe many people have had this experience. Nine in the morning, even nine thirty. Go to the company for breakfast, sometimes have a morning meeting, and then it's ten o'clock. Go to the toilet, drink tea, and chat with colleagues. Then it was eleven o'clock, and everyone began to discuss what to eat for lunch on the "Problem of the Century". At half past eleven, we could have lunch. There is basically no effective working time in the morning.

Go to the company at noon, play with the phone, watch videos, and take a break. Started work at half past one, started work at two in a daze, and finished get off work at half past five. I work for three hours in the middle, and I don't necessarily concentrate on doing things during these three hours, unless it is hard to do it. Of course, you can say, I am just an example. But when I observe my colleagues around me, many of them are in this state. Because the effective working time is short and the task cannot be completed, overtime is required. Some people even said that if you don't do well, you'll be fine, just work overtime at night. Anyway, they have to work overtime.

It seems that we have a tacit attitude towards overtime and take it for granted.

Tasks that are not completed due to procrastination are not considered overtime. Inefficient overtime is a waste of time.

So when I realized that, I gave myself a death order. Resolutely do not work overtime, unless it is necessary to work overtime because of the launch of the project. Otherwise, resolutely complete the task of the day before leaving get off work. If you give yourself such a psychological suggestion, you will not be suffocated when you encounter difficulties at work. Instead, look for help and solve problems better through the help of others, thereby improving work efficiency.

Always remember one thing: fruitless efforts are all wasted time.

There is only one thing we need to do: "Battle for Attention"

Why do you say this, because time is only 24 hours a day, we can't control this. Some people say that I break 24 hours a day into 48 hours. Why do you feel this way? It is because their concentration is stronger than the average person, and the efficiency of doing things will be improved. So it feels efficient!

Why ordinary people can't do it? It's not that we can't do it, but we are always paying attention to some trivial things. For a while swiping the circle of friends, watching the news for a while, ordering a cup of milk tea for a while, and chatting with people for a while, they seem to be busier than anyone else, but they always do things to no avail.

When your attention is distracted, how can you talk about being efficient. Work overtime at night due to unfinished work during the day. Working overtime at night results in insufficient rest time, and working during the day is not effective if the rest time is not enough. The vicious cycle has continued like this, and this person is estimated to be useless in two years. At least psychologically, he already thinks this is a normal state.

In fact, this state can be adjusted back in two weeks, and use the weekend in the middle as a buffer. If you feel that you don’t want to do anything about work any more on a weekend, then you will live in this disgusting cycle forever. middle.

Our most precious time, but more precious than time is our attention!
