When an employee who has been in the company for a shorter period of time becomes his leader, this feeling is really uncomfortable. Many people always feel that they have been working for a long time, and they have worked hard without credit. Why is it that someone else was promoted instead of themselves, and it is justifiable to do some incomprehensible things when they are angry. I even thought that the person was promoted by flattering the leader and giving gifts. The truth may be as it might seem, but it's definitely not the main thing. Everyone has heard that poor people must have something to hate, but what about the other way around? People who get promoted must also have something special to do.

When everyone entered the company, there was not much of a gap. It was just because of some small differences in work that caused such a big gap now. So, how can we surpass others in the workplace, widen the gap, and finally get promoted before our colleagues? The author shares 3 core principles with you here, and I hope you will be able to help after reading it.

  1. Accept reality, from the outside in ======================================

A friend told the author that in their company, an employee was downgraded by the company because of problems in work and dealing with others, so he was angry. So I complained to the leaders and made a lot of people's small reports. Other people also did a lot of wrong things but were not punished, saying that they had encountered unfair treatment. As a result, such a move brought him a more disadvantageous situation.

Whether in the workplace or in life, I have never believed in absolute justice. For the injustice or differential treatment that I have encountered, I will of course go to the leaders to understand the situation and ask the reasons. This is only done in private. But since things have happened, they won't say why others are okay, it's because the leaders suppress or discriminate against themselves. Instead, think about why you have such a problem, and what is wrong in those areas.

In the workplace or in life, it is very difficult to change others, and it is even more difficult to change the reality. Therefore, accepting the cruelty and injustice of reality, finding your own reasons and problems, and changing yourself is indeed the easiest and most effective way.

  1. Problem solving, core value ==============================

A former colleague of the author joined the company more than 5 years earlier than the author, and has more than ten years of service. The author only took 2 years to enter the company and was at the same level as him, and after another 3 years, he was one level higher than him. I never felt that I was stronger than him in those areas. What really reflects the difference between the author and him is the different ways of dealing with things.

One thing, according to the colleague, the first thing he thought about was how troublesome and difficult it was, and then he said that this thing is not good. In the author's opinion, it is how to do something to achieve its purpose, and then think about how to solve those problems, and then directly do it. It is precisely because of this way of thinking that the author has brought many projects in the company, and some projects are even monopolized by the author. In this way, in the continuous problem-solving process, the author shows more value, and therefore rises faster than him.

In the workplace, the way to reflect value is to solve problems. Analyze the problem, formulate a plan, and turn it into practical action. Many people say that there are many things done and many mistakes. In fact, there is a big problem with this statement. If everyone doesn't do one thing, and you do it, you have already succeeded more than half of the time. At least you have entered the leader's vision. The leader will think that you have the courage to take on it, and of course you will take risks. But how can things in the world have only interests and no risks? Taking a step back 10,000 steps, it doesn’t matter if something goes wrong, at least you have gained more experience than others, and if you do it again in the future, you will naturally be able to do it well, but I’m afraid there is no chance to do it. If you stick to it, you will naturally be able to have more experience and achievements from others.

  1. Effective contacts, core interests =====================================

When the author entered the workplace not long ago, the definition of the workplace was still very vague, and many thoughts were still stuck in the school era, and it took a year to get used to it. At that time, the author believed that many things were black and white, and there was always right and wrong. However, the longer I work, the more I find that it is not the so-called right or wrong that determines many things, but the fundamental interests. In layman's terms, how much benefit it can bring to others determines the status and achievement in the workplace.

In the author's previous company, the author observed some colleagues and found that most of their interpersonal circles are composed of a few people who have good relations and play. But once there is a problem in the workplace that needs to be solved, these interpersonal relationships are often unreliable, let alone solve the problem. Many people are now talking about building effective connections in the workplace. The author believes that the effective network in the workplace is not about how good the relationship is and how much money you usually invest in food, drink and maintenance, but how much benefit it can bring to others, and then how much benefit others can bring to us.

There is a saying that the common people talk about favors, and the elites talk about interests. What civilians use to maintain interpersonal relationships is mutual friendship and relationship, which is quite a moral kidnapping. The reason for asking others to help is how good their relationship is. The elites use interests to maintain, and the interests are how much benefit this body can bring to others, so that those who ask for help feel that help is an exchange of interests and an equivalent relationship. Therefore, the effective network of elites does not emphasize relationships, but emphasizes building their ability to provide more benefits to others and use them to attract other people.

This is the author's experience and experience in opening the gap with others in the workplace and achieving faster promotion than others. Simply put, it is to improve and change oneself, undertake external work, and export benefit value to others. By doing this, you can quickly surpass others in the workplace and get promoted faster than others.
