Four Classic Ways to Teach Your Children to Learn

【1】You can't teach your children how to learn

To be honest, although I graduated from a postgraduate program, I really took a lot of detours in educating my children. This is the biggest detour I have taken. When I started to help my child with homework, he would ask me if he didn’t know how to do it. , and then it was over, but I found that the questions he asked were repetitive, and later I found out that there was a problem with the method, so some methods we learned in the past began to teach our children, let me take mathematics as an example:

Step 1: You have to teach your children to understand the knowledge system in the textbook first. Without this, it is useless to do more homework.

Step 2: When the child catches up with the normal rhythm, use a weekend to accompany the child to preview the next week's courses, which is equivalent to teaching before the teacher, having learned the basic knowledge first, and doing almost all the exercises in the textbook.

The third step: When the child is in class, follow the teacher to strengthen some things that he does not understand, because the child has basically mastered the knowledge in books, so the habit of this step is the key. At the beginning, I strengthened it every day after school. This, now our children are doing very well in school.

Step 4: Let the children develop the habit of previewing independently: I was with me at the beginning, previewing every class, and using a summer vacation, basically all the knowledge of the three subjects of Chinese, mathematics and English in the next grade. If you master it, your child's academic performance will go up at once, and this is what I think can be copied to my own child.

[2] Letting children develop the habit of Nissin is the most long-term thing that affects children

In order to get my child to develop this habit, I spent a lot of effort. At first, I accompanied him, quarreled, and beat him. Later, I asked the child to write his own plan and post it in his room. I will check it when the time comes. Progress, about two months, the child will develop this habit, and then it will be supervision and inspection.

[3] Cultivating children's self-conscious learning is one of the most important hurdles in educating children

If parents do this, you will be successful in educating your children. It took me a year to educate them. The process is very complicated and painful. Especially the process of accompanying children to learn preview is even more difficult. I want to I prepare lessons like a teacher, help my children outline knowledge and do after-school exercises. Slowly, I do less and less, and the more children do by themselves, the habit of consciously learning and making plans is formed.

[4] Let the child realize that learning is his own business more important than learning itself

This question must be addressed according to the characteristics of your children. I have shown the children the deeds and stories of many successful people and people with difficult families who have changed their destiny through education. Anyway, it took a lot of effort.
