The cardiovascular health level of 31 provincial-level administrative divisions in China was scientifically assessed to identify weak links in cardiovascular disease control and prevention.

In 2017, Beijing's China Cardiovascular Health Index score (75.37 points) was the highest; in 2021, Shanghai ranked first with 83.27 points .

Although the ranking of provincial administrative divisions has changed year by year, some trends can still be observed. Among the 31 provincial-level administrative divisions, Shanghai, Beijing, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Jiangsu always rank in the top 5, and Guizhou and the Tibet Autonomous Region always rank in the bottom 5. Overall, the score of China's cardiovascular health index in 2021 will be greatly improved, with a total score of 57.42 points, an increase of 19.5% (9.36 points) and 14.7% (7.05 points) compared with 2017 (48.06 points) and 2019 (50.37 points) respectively. .

In 2021, a total of 14 provincial-level administrative divisions will have a China Cardiovascular Health Index score higher than China's total score (57.42 points). Among them, the top 8 provincial-level administrative divisions are all in the eastern region, which may be related to the level of economic development; the highest-ranked provincial-level administrative division in the western region is Sichuan Province (63.7 points), ranking 9th; the central region ranks the highest The provincial administrative division of Hubei Province (62.09 points), ranking 11th.
